El
Dorado Public Schools
USD 490 has a total student enrollment of nearly 2200 students
and supports five elementary schools, one middle school and one high
school. The district pupil to teacher ratio ranges from 17.9:1 to
15.7:1. With a few exceptions, USD 490 students consistently
score above the state and national average on assessment tests.
The

Butler
Community College
Established in 1927, Butler Community College offers a
two-year degree and has an enrollment of nearly 8700 students. The
beautiful main campus is in El Dorado, with on-campus housing for
377 students. Twenty-one additional BCC learning centers are located
around the area.
In addition
to a full curriculum, the college has developed award-winning Business
and Industrial Technology, Nursing, Fine Arts and Agriculture programs.
Their Business Performance Group specializes in customized training
for businesses.
Butler
has a strong athletic program for men and women and is able to boast
of a two-time National Championship football team.

Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital
is a not-for-profit, general acute care hospital, licensed for 103
beds, including a 21-bed Skilled Nursing Facility, an 11-bed Geriatric
Psychiatric Unit named the Transitional Life Center (TLC), a 12-station
Dialysis Center and the SBA Cancer Center. The Hospital is governed
by a local board of citizens and is accredited by the Joint Commission
on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). El Dorado has
a full staff of more than 20 board certified doctors in numerous specialties.
